- Abstract
Marine Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) culture, a key part of China’s traditional culture, has profound historical significance and unique medical value. It promotes local socioeconomic development and cultural heritage. Taking Zhoushan City in Zhejiang as an example, this paper uses literature review, field investigations, and case analyses to explore new ways to inherit MTCM culture. Zhoushan, a marine culture hub, has rich MTCM resources but faces inheritance challenges like small industry scale, talent shortage, and poor promotion. Strengthening the integration of maritime consciousness and cultural practices is urgent. The paper proposes strategies in three aspects: deepening MTCM industry development, promoting cultural inheritance, and fostering innovation. Recommendations include optimizing the industrial chain, integrating ancient texts, and enhancing digital dissemination. The findings show that multi - dimensional collaborative innovation can boost MTCM culture inheritance and development, providing insights for its modernization and global spread.
