Abstract

This study utilizes MIXUE Ice Cream & Tea as a case study to investigate how emerging tea beverage enterprises can establish sustainable competitive advantages with a focus on supply chain management. Through the application of Resource-Based View (RBV) theory and SWOT analysis, the 2024 annual report, prospectus, and other relevant data of MIXUE Ice Cream & Tea were examined. The entire chain of operations, from global procurement to independent production, logistics, warehousing, and digitally-driven terminals, was systematically analyzed. MIXUE Ice Cream & Tea boasts the most comprehensive supply chain system within the industry. By leveraging economies of scale in upstream procurement, production, and midstream logistics and warehousing, the company significantly reduces operational costs, thereby securing core competitive advantages. In the downstream sector, a franchising model is employed to supply sufficient raw materials to a large network of franchise stores, enhancing revenue and brand influence. This study introduces, for the first time, the logic of supply chain dynamics and sustainability into the research of new tea beverages, thereby expanding the application of the RBV within the fast beverage industry. Additionally, it provides a strategic framework for enterprises to identify, develop, and reinforce back-end capabilities that are difficult to replicate in highly homogeneous markets.
