Abstract

In the context of an increasingly aging population, the high-quality development of elderly care services in Heilongjiang Province faces severe challenges and the need for transformation. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, this paper analyzes the current situation of population aging and the development of the elderly care service system in Heilongjiang Province. It points out prominent issues such as insufficient participation of socialized elderly care forces, loose integration of medical care, nursing, and health preservation, and unbalanced development of urban and rural elderly services. It is necessary to establish a multi-subject pattern of “government-led, social support, and market-oriented” operations, improve the coordination mechanism for the relationship between medical care, nursing care, and health preservation, and coordinate urban and rural relations. Through measures such as policy (policy inclination), resource sharing, and talent exchange, coordinated progress in urban and rural elderly services can be achieved, helping Heilongjiang’s elderly care services enter a new stage of high-quality development, enabling the elderly to share in the fruits of reform and development, enjoy a happy old age, and contribute Heilongjiang’s strength to actively responding to population aging.
