Abstract

In recent years, the rise of the “China chic” has introduced many elements of traditional Chinese culture into daily clothing. Nowadays, Chinese young people increasingly tend to buy local brands, thereby giving birth to more and more domestic clothing brands. This paper uses a multi-dimensional approach to study the valuation of the China-chic clothing industry. Summarize the industry status, competitive situation and construct the valuation framework through the existing literature. Combining quantitative analysis (financial and non-financial data) with qualitative case studies (Peacebird, Semir), and using the relative valuation method and DCF model, it provides a scientific basis for enterprise valuation to support investment decisions. The study finds that the valuation logic of China-chic clothing enterprises is not a single-dimensional consideration but requires a systematic optimization from multiple perspectives; the valuation shows the trend of the China-chic clothing industry that is “under pressure in the short term and having a positive outlook in the long term”. This research can help investors avoid the common valuation bubbles of new consumer brands and help them seize the structural investment opportunities in the wave of cultural confidence. At the same time, it can provide a development direction for related enterprises and help local enterprises achieve a leapfrog development from cultural confidence to business confidence.
