- Abstract
With the advent of the digital age, people have begun to rely on human-computer communication and lack emotional connections between people. At the same time, China adheres to the “Belt and Road” development strategy, encourages the cultivation of excellent foreign language talents, and attaches importance to foreign language teaching and foreign language communication. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the relationship between emotion and language in order to promote effective foreign language teaching and foreign communication. This study uses CiteSpace, an emerging scientometrics method, and adopts quantitative analysis methods to visualize and analyze Web of Science citation data from 2016 to 2025, and draws keyword clustering analysis maps and time trend analysis maps, in order to clarify the development context and evolution trend of research on the relationship between emotion and language, and to a certain extent explore research hotspots and understand development trends.
