- Abstract
AI becomes widespread, the shortcomings of traditional engineering courses are obvious. Most teaching is by lecture, textbooks lag behind, and hands on resources are limited. This mismatch hurts both learning and industry readiness. With Computer Intelligent Control Systems as the case, this paper studies how AI can reshape teaching and support practical work. The paper’s innovation is to rise above tool-level fragments. From a holistic view of education, it introduces an engineering teaching model that applies AI, centers on competencies, and evolves with use. The plan refreshes the course knowledge with AI, fits instruction to learner profiles, creates a lab that links virtual models to real scene, strengthens process-based assessment, and improves teacher capacity in AI. The goal is teaching that is accurate, interactive, and adaptable, helping students solve complex problems, think creatively, and move across disciplines. The study offers guidance for strategic reform and a practical roadmap that colleges can adapt across majors and stages.
