Abstract

In response to the urgent demand for engineering talents in the development of China’s manufacturing industry, this paper takes the practical component of mechanical foundation courses as the target for reform for further enhancing students’ engineering literacy. Experiments attached to theoretical courses and related course designs are integrated into an independent practical course — Mechanical Design Innovation Training Course. This course designs innovation training programs based on industry demands and adopts a team-project-based teaching model. Then the teaching of basic knowledge by using online knowledge graphs is strengthened, for elevating engineering capabilities. Finally, multi-dimensional evaluations of students’ thinking and abilities are conducted, which aims to provide talent support for the all-round development of “new-quality productive forces”.
