- Abstract
With the growing global emphasis on sustainable development and the ongoing advancement of the “dual carbon” goals, green buildings have become an inevitable choice for the transformation of the construction industry. However, the high lifecycle costs of green buildings pose a significant barrier to their large-scale development. This study adopts a life cycle perspective to analyse the costs and key influencing factors across the design, construction, operation, and demolition phases of green buildings. It proposes feasible pathways in three areas—technological innovation, enterprise management, and government support—aiming to provide practical references for achieving both economic and social benefits in green building development.
