- Abstract
Southeast Asia is the fastest growing region of Internet users in the world, and Singapore is the most mature e-commerce market in Southeast Asia. This paper introduces Shopee’s business model in detail, including logistics model, payment model, marketing model and profit model. In terms of logistics model, Shopee provides efficient cross-border logistics solutions through self-built logistics and cooperative logistics platforms. In terms of payment model, Shopee cooperates with third-party payment platforms such as Payoneer, Pingpong and LianLianPay to provide merchants with safe and reliable payment options. In terms of marketing model, Shopee has successfully attracted a large number of users through subsidies, diversified marketing tools and social media marketing. The profit model mainly depends on commissions, transaction fees and service fees. In 2023, Shopee reported a remarkable revenue of 9 billion dollars, reflecting a 23.5% increase from the previous year. This demonstrates the success of SHOPEE’s business model.
