Abstract

AI is also widely changing the growth patterns, systems of governance, and social development in the emerging economies quickly as it becomes one of the most transformative forces endorsed by the emergent economies. Although initial adoption of AI was heavily concentrated amongst the developed economies that have good digital infrastructural backing and research environments, the recent rise of low-cost computing, open-source solutions and mobile internet connectivity has made access to AI inferior to have become a democratic right. This paper discusses how AI is being used by emerging economies to drive economic growth as well as foster inclusive development. It discusses the underpinnings of the AI adoption, which encompass leaped over opportunities, unexploited data, young populations, and local needs. The study shows how AI-based solutions are decreasing structural gaps including financial exclusion, little healthcare access, low agricultural output, and ineffective public services delivery by sector assessment and case studies in finance, healthcare, agriculture, education, and governance. The economic and social impacts of AI, such as the productivity growth, transformation, entrepreneurial dynamism, and social inclusion are considered by the paper as well or such problematic aspects of artificial intelligence may be lack of infrastructure, shortage of skills, computation privacy, and institutional resistance. The implication of the policy would be the emphasis on capacity building, investment on digital infrastructures, open data collaboration, inclusive design, and proper ethical governance. At the end of the paper, the author affirms that by using a combination of strategic planning and responsible regulation, and international partnership, AI can be the cornerstone of sustainable, equitable and sustainable growth of the developing economies.
