- Abstract
This study focuses on the evaluation of impacts of the Hydro-Climatic changes and also Anthropogenic about water and water bodies of Subarnarekha river of Jamshedpur region situated in Jharkhand, India. Any human behavior that hinders the utilization of water as a resource could be referred to as water contamination. Water contamination caused by municipal and agricultural Industrial sources are becoming a serious concern for human welfare. The study area co-ordinates are as Latitude 21°33’ to 23°32’N and longitude 85°09’ to 84°27’E. Sampling of water from different Sampling point were done during pre-monsoon to ascertain the water’s coverage in the Subarnarekha river of the Jamshedpur district region in 2024. The collected samples were analysed for pH, TDS, major cations (Ca, Mg, Na, K), major anions HCO3, Fe, Cl, SO4 and NO3) and physical properties like Turbidity, Temperature & Electrical Conductivity (EC) etc. Study shows that Water Samples of different sites of Subarnarekha river fall in the quality of water. The quality of the water is being greatly impacted globally by climate change.
