Abstract

Experimental research was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the influence of TiB2 and ZrB2 on a novel aluminum-based composite. The density of the material significantly impacts the weight and tribological behavior of composites. A novel Hybrid composite was made by adding TiB2 and ZrB2 in Al6063. The composite was prepared by stir casting method. The wt% of TiB2 and ZrB2 was varied and experimental investigations were performed to determine the density. The experimental findings revealed that, the density of the material was influenced by a variety of variables, including the wt% of TiB2, ZrB2 and combination of TiB2 and ZrB2. The results revealed that among the various parameters the density of the composite was found maximum for 4% TiB2 and 10% ZrB2.
