Abstract

Three quarters of the present universe is dominated by dark energy that drives the currently observed accelerated expansion of the universe conformed by red-shift data. We, in this work, choose interacting dark energy model as our framework to probe the dynamics of our universe. For that we have calculated several cosmic parameters like density, red-shift and deceleration parameter those give us the complete picture of the expansion rate and transition of the universe. Comparing with the observational data, we got that the present universe is dominated with quintessence type of dark energy which is responsible for accelerated phase of expansion and that will continue for a few more years. Our analysis again predicts that the transition from deceleration to acceleration would occur in the recent past. Finally, in the future, deceleration parameter will take a constant positive value and hence again the expansion rate will become decelerated one.
