In an era marked by escalating environmental challenges, resource constraints, and rapid technological transformation, the pursuit of sustainable science and technology has never been more critical. The future of our planet hinges on our ability to develop innovative, inclusive, and resilient solutions that harmonize scientific advancement with ecological stewardship and social equity. Sustainable science and technology not only address immediate global concerns—such as climate change, energy security, and urbanization—but also lay the foundation for long-term prosperity and intergenerational well-being.

It is within this context that the 2024 International Conference on Sustainable Science and Technology for Tomorrow (SciTech 2024) was convened virtually by Woxsen University, Hyderabad, from 16 to 20 September 2024. The conference brought together over 140 participants from universities, research institutions, and industries worldwide, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and collaborative spirit.

SciTech 2024 featured 20 keynote lectures delivered by globally recognized experts, alongside a diverse array of contributed papers and interactive sessions. The conference emphasized cross-disciplinary approaches to sustainability, with key themes including renewable and clean energy technologies, advanced functional materials, nanotechnology for environmental remediation, smart infrastructure and sustainable cities, climate modeling, green chemistry, circular economy innovations, and artificial intelligence applications for sustainable development.

A defining highlight of the conference was its focus on translational research— bridging fundamental scientific discoveries with real-world applications. Discussions underscored the importance of interdisciplinary methodologies such as computational modeling, density functional theory (DFT) simulations, solar design tools, and big-data analytics in accelerating innovation. The proceedings also explored the socioeconomic dimensions of sustainability, reinforcing the role of research in shaping policy frame-works and industry practices aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This volume of proceedings stands as a testament to the collective commitment of the global scientific community toward building a sustainable and equitable future. It captures the depth and breadth of academic inquiry while illuminating pathways for collaboration between science, technology, and society.

On behalf of the organizing and publications committee, we extend our sincere appreciation to all keynote speakers, authors, reviewers, and participants whose scholarly efforts made SciTech 2024 a resounding success. We hope the insights presented herein will inspire continued innovation and contribute meaningfully to global sustainability efforts.
