Abstract

Sustainable agriculture preserve natural resources promoting food security, social equity and economic profitability. It reduces environmental impact of the traditional farming system, by adopting sustainable agricultural practices, efficient use of technological tools and responding to growing challenges of climatic change.Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT devices, UAV or drones, AI Apps, Chatbots and robots play a crucial role in sustainable agriculture solutions. By analyzing data captured by technological tool AI systems can predict environmental trends and offer solutions to mitigate risks through predictive analytics. Environmental monitoring with AI such as Crop health monitoring, Soil monitoring, Weather forecasting, use of drones and robots enable Automated irrigation, Precision agriculture, Improve decision-making enabling sustainable agriculture and proactive responses to ecological threats. Major area impacted by AI is sustainable agriculture, water management, biodiversity conservation and climate change. This paper explores the conventional agricultural practices that have contributed significantly to climate change and offers several strategies for applying AI technology in relevant agricultural fields. The AI tools and machine learning algorithms that are a part of the technology that supports sustainable agriculture are examined in this study. This paper also identifies the 10 sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) out of the 17 that can be fulfilled or attained through the use of sustainable agriculture.
