Abstract

India is a traditional country where silk is considered to be the queen of all fabrics. Historically one of India’s most important industries is always silk industries when we compare within textile industries. The sericulture activities in India are spread across 52,360 villages. India produces four types of natural silks namely Mulberry, Eri, Tasar, and Muga. India produces silk garments that are in high demand such as carpets, shawls, sarees, dhoti, sherwani, and cushion covers. The enterprisers in this particular industry are very innovative and creative but due to a lack of knowledge in an investment, they are unable to grow. By taking up the risk surely an Entrepreneurship can make a brand over another business using automated machines and different financial planning. In this paper, we have done an empirical study on manufacturers of the Kanchipuram silk industry and improvement in the earnings.
