- Abstract
With the emergence of artistic autonomy, the exploration of artistic boundaries has gradually become a hot topic, as the boundaries of art are directly related to the definition and evaluation criteria of art. For calligraphy, the definition of its boundaries seems to be more complex, as it is intricately linked to aesthetics, Chinese characters, practical functions, lyrical functions, moral values, and more. This article will combine Western art theory, psychological theory, and calligraphy tradition and practice to delineate the boundaries of calligraphy in contemporary environments.
