Abstract

In the midst of a work environment that is always experiencing various changes, employees are expected to be able to adapt quickly. The ability to learn and adapt from experience, known as learning agility, is an important factor in increasing work engagement in the workplace. This study aims to find out the relationship between learning agility and work engagement and organizational commitment as a mediator for employees at PT X. Learning agility as defined by Lombardo & Eichinger [1] is a the ability to learn quickly from experience to achieve new accomplishments. Work engagement as defined by Schaufeli and Bakker [2] refers to a condition in which individuals have a positive attitude towards their work, feel satisfied, dedication, and deep levels of involvement. Organizational commitment according to Allen and Meyer [3] is an individual's desire to be involved and remain part of the organization. This study uses a quantitative method with 210 participants from employees at PT X. The research data was collected through purposive sampling, the measuring instruments used included the Learning Agility Scale (LAS), the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), and the Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ). In this study, the results found by the researcher indicate that organizational commitment acts as a partial mediator and can strengthen the relationship between learning agility and work engagement. This study is expected to help companies in further improving and consistent work engagement for employees at PT X through the development of learning agility and organizational commitment.
