- Abstract
Self-efficacy is commonly defined as the confidence in one’s ability to perform actions necessary to achieve specific outcomes. It is closely linked to resilience, as highlighted by comprehensive literature reviews (Yada et al., 2021). High levels of self-efficacy are associated with enhanced performance and well-being, facilitating adaptation to workplace changes and challenges. Similarly, resilience—defined as the ability to adapt positively—plays a crucial role in managing ongoing work-related stress. In contrast, low levels of self-efficacy and resilience can lead to burnout, characterized by chronic stress that manifests as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced professional satisfaction (Rivera et al., 2022).This study employed quantitative methods targeting permanent employees over a one-month period, using a criterion sampling procedure. A total of 586 participants were involved. Data analysis included descriptive analysis and correlational analysis, facilitated by the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results demonstrated a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and resilience, a significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and burnout, and a significant negative correlation between resilience and burnout. These findings underscore the importance of fostering self-efficacy and resilience in the workplace to mitigate burnout and enhance employee well-being. Moreover, the research serves as a foundation for practical interventions aimed at improving organizational productivity and overall employee well-being.
