Abstract

Zhejiang Province has a complete system, rich connotation and wide distribution of national key cultural relics protection units (national conservation units). Among them, the number of ancient architecture is the largest, reaching 146, accounting for 51.9%. It is followed by Important historical sites and representative buildings of modern times, ancient sites, cave temples and stone carvings, and ancient tombs. The spatial and temporal distribution of these cultural relics presents a unique pattern, which generally reflects the cultural characteristics of various regions in Zhejiang. The results show that the distribution of cultural heritage in Zhejiang Province gradually diverges linearly from the dotted core of the Hangjiahu Plain to the hilly areas of western and southern Zhejiang, and its spatiotemporal pattern is deeply restricted by the natural landscape environment. In-depth analysis of the statistical characteristics of national conservation units and the study of the spatial distribution characteristics of cultural relics are helpful to grasp the law of protection and utilization of cultural relics, and then promote the modernization of the governance system and governance capacity in the field of cultural relics.
