This paper aims to describe the socio-economic impact before and after the construction of the Kendari-Toronipa Toll Road on the Bajo community in Soropia District, Kendari City. This study uses ethnographic data analysis from Field Study activities in 2020 and 2023. The results of the study show that there have been socio-economic changes in the Bajo community following the construction of the toll road. This study also found that the construction of the toll road has had a positive impact on improving accessibility and speeding up travel, but it has also had a socio-economic impact on the Bajo community. This paper is expected to provide an overview of the impact of toll road construction on coastal communities and serve as a reference for better policy development.
