Modern research studies on computation began in the 1930s with the exploration of computability. Simultaneously, computers were being developed. In computer science, the harmony between theory and practice has been considered crucial. Researchers in the field should establish theories to address real-world issues. On the other hand, experimentation and simulation are seen as triggers for improving theories.

WCTP 2024 is the thirteenth workshop organized by the Institute of Science Tokyo, Kyoto Tachibana University, University of the Philippines Diliman, De La Salle University Manila, and Chitose Institute of Science and Technology. The workshop is dedicated to theoretical and practical approaches to computation. Its goal is to showcase the latest developments by computer science researchers in academia and industry who are working to address computational problems that can directly impact the way we live in society.

WCTP 2024 was held at Henry Sy Hall, the University of the Philippines Manila, Philippines, from November 4 to 6, 2024. This proceedings is a collection of papers presented at WCTP 2024. The program consisted of 20 selected research contributions, including the most recent visions and research, presented here in their final form.
