Development of E-Book Learning Media in The Correction Face Shapes of Students at SMK Imelda Medan

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Sigil-assisted E-book as an instructional medium and to evaluate its feasibility in teaching the topic of face shape correction to students at SMK Pariwisata Imelda Medan. The development process was adapted from the Borg and Gall research and development model, which consists of ten stages: (1) Research and Data Collection, (2) Planning, (3) Developing the Initial Product, (4) Preliminary Field Testing, (5) Product Revision, (6) Small Group Trial, (7) Media Revision, (8) Medium Group Trial, (9) Final Product Revision, and (10) Large Group Trial. The feasibility evaluation results revealed that the material validation achieved a score of 82.67% (“Highly Feasible”), the media validation obtained 85.33% (“Highly Feasible”), and the small group trial resulted in 78.44% (“Highly Feasible”). Furthermore, the medium group trial yielded 87.73% (“Highly Feasible”), and the large group trial reached 91.40% (“Highly Feasible”). These findings indicate that the Sigil-based E-book learning medium is highly feasible and effective for supporting students’ learning activities and enhancing the overall learning process.
