- Abstract
Henan dialect, as a remnant of the standardized pronunciation of ancient elegant languages, is a key carrier for shaping the regional cultural identity of Henan. Social changes and intergenerational differences have made this linguistic heritage face difficulties in inheritance, and its role as a cultural bond is declining day by day. This study attempts to use visual narrative strategies to establish a multidimensional cultural symbol system through the dialect’s phonetic qualities, semantic connotations, and textual forms. This cross-sensory linguistic presentation strengthens the visual recognition of the dialect, stimulates the sense of belonging to the local culture among young people, and explores innovative paths for the inheritance of the dialect.
