- Abstract
Hangzhou possesses abundant cultural tourism resources. As a “Tea Capital” and porcelain homeland, Hangzhou features exceptionally rich intangible cultural heritage (ICH) resources related to tea and porcelain cultures. The development of tea and porcelain cultural traditions has received particular attention and has become a significant marker of Hangzhou’s cultural development. In March 2024, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism initiated the application process for the first batch of provincial-level “ICH Tea Spaces,” providing a novel perspective for the integration of Hangzhou’s tea and porcelain cultural spaces. Examining Hangzhou’s tea and porcelain cultural lineage, cataloging its tea and porcelain ICH and related resources, and analyzing the spatial distribution characteristics of these cultural resources will facilitate the strategic development of Hangzhou’s tea and porcelain cultural spaces. This approach will systematically protect and transmit ICH, promote cultural-tourism integration and economic development, enhance ICH dissemination and influence, and satisfy the spiritual and cultural needs of the populace.
