- Abstract
Context
This study’s main role is in research and publications for scholarly work to identify the use of transformation of digital technology. It is also a study to know the flows of research work, how to manage its data, and how to practice publishing research work and face the challenges ethically and technically.
Design/Methodology/Approach
In a present study, a systematic review was conducted, which published from 2018 to 2025 and selected from the various databases, i.e., WoS, Google Scholar, Scopus, and PubMed, and considered only English peer-reviewed studies published in English. They were categorized into four themes subjected to qualitative analysis, i.e., 1. Opportunities, 2. Challenges, 3. Considerations of ethics, and 4. Best practices.
Findings
By this review of literature, digital technology is established for the efficiency of research and its accuracy with its efforts of research collaboration. This digital technology is also beneficial for the management of research data, the preparedness of manuscripts in streamlining, and the support to disseminate its knowledge effectively. It is very important to ethical consideration for transparency of authorship as well as to maintain the integrity of research with its accountability and reproducibility.
Research Limitations/Implications
In a present study, it is considered only English language literature, so it is missing the various disciplines and context of geography. For adoption and impact of digital tools, it is necessary to understand how to examine policies of various institutions, their users’ experiences, and implement their strategies to provide more understanding.
Originality/Value
This paper presents a comprehensive perspective on both the ethical and operational dimensions of digital transformation in scholarly research. It offers evidence-based recommendations to support the responsible use of digital tools, enhance research quality, and stimulate innovation across the global ecosystem of scholarly communication.
