- Abstract
Infertility is a complex issue with profound psychological, social, and environmental implications, and particularly for women. In the framework of sustainable futures, it is crucial and decisive to understand how environmental and social factors intersect to influence and affect infertility patterns and women’s mental health. This report explores and discovers these intersections, highlighting the unique challenges faced by women and the pathways toward resilience and well-being. Infertility affects millions of women around the world, but its impact is not uniformly distributed. Variations in environmental exposures, access to healthcare, and cultural attitudes lead to different patterns of infertility across regions. Women often face disproportionate social stigma and pressure when unable to conceive. This societal burden can result in significant psychological distress, social exclusion, and a diminished sense of self-worth, especially in cultures where fertility is closely tied to a woman’s identity.
