Abstract

Understanding the meaning of willingness to pay (WTP) for cancer screening in Asia Continent is essential for improving accessibility and participation in early detection programs. This systematic review synthesizes existing evidence on the key factors influencing WTP. This review provides comprehensive insights into the economic and behavioral drivers of WTP, aiding policymakers and healthcare providers in designing cost-effective and equitable cancer screening strategies in Asia. Three databases (PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct) were used to search related articles that explained the determinant factor that influences WTP for cancer screening. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) guideline was used to execute the systematic review study. Finally, 14 articles were include in this study. This study resulted determinant factors influencing WTP were come from sociodemographic aspect; age, income, education level, insurance coverage, and family history of cancer. WTP also influenced by knowledge of the cancer, perception of the cancer screening, and the attributes of the screening test. Recognizing the significance of demographic factors and test characteristics is essential for future research aimed at developing targeted strategies to enhance cancer screening participation. Furthermore, understanding the willingness-to-pay (WTP) value contributes to the formulation of effective public policies forcancerscreeningprograms.
