Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of contemporary Azerbaijani artists-created posters reflecting Environmental Issues. As always, our artists did not remain indifferent to social and cultural events in the world, including Environmental Issues, and promptly expressed their artistic attitude to the existing challenges. In this context we can single out posters devoted to the problem of tree felling and nature protection: “SOS” by Aidyn Suleymanov (1994), “Trees are our life” by Etibar Nazarov (1996), “It is also living being” by Mirazer Abdullaev (2001), “Don’t make nature cry” by Hasheem Elchiev (2002); devoted to the problem of pollution of seas and rivers: “Vay-Haray” by Lala Abdullaeva (1997), “Caspian Refugees” by Mirazer Abdullayev (2001), “Here is such a sewer” by Hasheem Elchiev (2001), “Ecology” by Vugar Ali (2001), “Screaming Rivers” by Etibar Nazarov (2001); covering the problem of ecological cleanliness of city streets: “Ecological Cleanliness” by Hasheem Elchiyev (2001), “Everything Begins with This” by Mirazer Abdullayev (2001), “Baku - 2001” by Vugar Ali (2001), “Don’t Spit on the Ground” by Kirman Abdi (2001); and the problem of atmospheric pollution: “Fine Feathers Don’t Make Fine Birds” by Lala Abdullayeva (1999), “Today Air, Tomorrow Water” by Vugar Ali (2002), “Gabala Radar Station - the Wound of Our Land” by Orhan Mammadov (2001), “Nothing Left” by Mirazer Abdullayev (2001), “The Most Environmentally Friendly Transport” by Hasheem Elchiyev (2024). The common feature of these posters is the relevance of the Environmental Issues they raise.
