Abstract

This study addresses the concept of ecological culture from the perspective of social responsibility. The relationship between humans and nature has been examined from primitive societies to modern societies. The biological, social, and sociobiological aspects of human nature and development have been investigated. The evolutionary development of humans as biological organisms has been discussed through Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. From a sociological perspective, the concept of human beings has been analyzed through Pierre Bourdieu’s theories of field, habitus, and capital. From a multidisciplinary perspective, the concept of humans has been re-evaluated in sociobiological terms. The importance of ecological culture for society and what needs to be done to raise social awareness regarding the protection of nature have been outlined.
