Abstract

The article introduce readers to the rich cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, particularly focusing on how art groups contribute to the national and cultural identity, provide insight into the evolution of art groups in Azerbaijan, from the end of Soviet era to modern-day Azerbaijan. The article highlight key art groups and collectives that have shaped Azerbaijani visual arts and explore the formation of artist collectives, and how these groups navigated the ideological challenges of the time. This would include mentions of art groups or unions, such as the first art association in art of Azerbaijan the Baku Art Center, Tasdig as the only art group having its manifesto, popularizing the art of land-art “Labyrinth”, “Wings of Time” and other art groups, their activities, and their contribution to the culture of Azerbaijan and, in particular, to contemporary art. Discuss how these groups contribute to art exhibitions, festivals, and collaborations with international art institutions. There is covered the influence of globalization and digital media on Azerbaijani art groups, along with emerging contemporary artists in 2000s. Overall, the article combine historical context with contemporary analysis, providing readers with a thorough understanding of how art groups contribute to Azerbaijan’s cultural and artistic landscape.
