- Abstract
This study examines an air-pollution episode in Qingdao during 19th–26th December 2019, focusing on the physicochemical properties of different aerosol types and the evolution of their components to identify the particle sources that influenced and dominated the event. By combining air-mass back-trajectory analysis with single-particle mass spectrometry, we further characterize single-particle physicochemical features during the episode. The pollutants originated primarily from Hebei Province. A subsequent precipitation and cooling process promoted pollutant removal. Using the ART-2a neural network together with manual consolidation, we resolved 12 particle classes; among them, ECOC and High_K dominated, together contributing more than 70% of total particles.
