Abstract

This paper primarily explores the inheritance and transformation of the “Blue Sky” image from ancient times to modern judges in the construction of Chinese-style modernization. By analyzing the historical origins of the “Blue Sky” concept, it reveals its definition and social functions in ancient Chinese culture, particularly its role in highlighting social justice and moral integrity. It also investigates the influence of the “Blue Sky” image on the role of modern judges and how this historical symbol is inherited and developed in contemporary judicial ethics. Further analysis examines the multiple roles and challenges faced by modern judges in law enforcement, discussing how the proposal of the people-oriented judicial philosophy and the repositioning of judges’ roles contribute to the modernization of legal culture. Finally, it summarizes the inheritance significance of the “Blue Sky” in the construction of Chinese-style modernization under the rule of law, offers reflections and suggestions on the transformation of modern judges’ roles, and looks forward to the future development direction of legal system construction.
