Abstract

With the growing demand for wedding dress design professionals capable of market-oriented output, traditional teaching approaches—which lack industry chain practice and market feedback mechanisms—have resulted in a disconnect between talent supply and industry needs. This study focuses on undergraduate students specializing in wedding dress design at Jiangxi Fashion Institute. Using a quasi-experimental design, a “school-enterprise collaboration + project-based learning + outcome-oriented education” model was implemented to explore pathways for cultivating industrialized talent in wedding dress design. A total of 30 students were sampled and randomly assigned to either a control group or an experimental group, which were subjected to traditional teaching and reformed teaching methods, respectively, over the course of one academic year. Quantitative data and interview surveys were employed to compare the effectiveness of the teaching approaches. The results indicate that students in the experimental group demonstrated a significant increase in learning satisfaction, their works received higher social media exposure and recognition, and corporate mentors provided markedly superior evaluations of their practical skills and communication abilities compared to the control group.
