Abstract

This paper systematically explores the application of membrane distillation (MD) technology in pharmaceutical engineering for medicine resource extraction, as well as its potential development. The article first outlines the fundamental principles of MD technology and its advantages over traditional distillation methods, including low energy consumption, mild ope Through experimental studies, the effectiveness of MD in recovering water and active compounds during pharmaceutical wastewater treatment was analyzed, while challenges such as membrane fouling and process instability are identified. Strategies to enhance system efficiency, such as merating conditions, and efficient separation of active ingredients, membrane modification, process optimization, and pretreatment, are proposed. The paper further envisions future directions for MD technology, including the development of novel membrane materials, integration of continuous and automated production systems, multi-device coordination, and intelligent control systems.
