Abstract

With the rise of TikTok user migration, more and more global users have begun to turn to Rednote, which has triggered a profound reflection on cross-cultural communication. This paper aims to explore the impact of TikTok users’ migration to Rednote on the global cultural exchange and communication pattern. First, the motivation of TikTok user migration is analyzed, and the driving role of factors such as platform policies, user cultural adaptability and globalization trends on this migration phenomenon is explored. Then, the article analyzes how Rednote, as a social platform with cross-cultural communication potential, can achieve cultural communication and output through the integration of localization and globalization in the context of globalization. In addition, this paper also focuses on the reconstruction of Chinese and Western cultural identity, the changes in content creation and communication modes, and the challenges and opportunities in cross-cultural communication caused by this migration trend. The study found that TikTok user migration not only reflects the collision and integration of cultural differences on social platforms, but also deepens the global users’ recognition of Chinese culture and values. At the same time, it provides a new theoretical framework and practical path for cross-cultural communication on social platforms.
