Abstract

In recent years, with the promotion of quality education, the importance of art teaching in society has gradually increased. Art education plays a crucial role in the personal development of students. This article summarizes the current situation and existing problems of art education in Chinese middle schools, and proposes relevant solutions. Research found that the current trend of teaching development is gradually improving, but the teaching methods are relatively single and there is insufficient interaction between teachers and students; The outdated teaching evaluation standards result in the inability to reflect the personalities of students; Insufficient student participation leads to a shallow understanding of knowledge among students. These issues lead to low enthusiasm among students for art learning. This article summarizes the following methods to address these issues. Firstly, it is necessary to use qualitative evaluation more and quantitative evaluation less, and develop diversified evaluation methods to measure the academic performance of students; Secondly, we should focus on the core competencies of students and pay attention to their all-round development; At the same time, it is necessary to enhance the comprehensive quality of teachers and always keep them at the forefront of the subject; Finally, it is necessary to innovate teaching methods, innovative teaching thinking and technology, and improve teaching efficiency. The author hopes that through the research in this article, Chinese middle school art education can enter a new stage and better play its role.
