- Abstract
As globalization increasingly impacts higher education, university English teaching faces the challenge of enhancing students’ language proficiency and overall competence. This study proposes the OBE-based “Three-Dimensional Dual-Track One-Line” model to explore its effectiveness in improving university English teaching outcomes. Using a 16-week experimental design with an experimental group (OBE model) and a control group (traditional teaching), data was collected from midterm and final scores, and a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. The results, analyzed via independent samples t-tests, paired samples t-tests, and multiple regression, show that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group in final scores, learning interest, and attitudes. The OBE-based model effectively enhances students’ English learning, providing valuable insights for the reform of university English teaching, particularly in personalized content and blended learning approaches.
