- Abstract
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) is one of the most celebrated German composers and keyboard players of the Baroque period. His Bach’s musical works is rich in genre and includes both vocal and instrumental works. He is known as the “Father of Western Music” because of the influence his works have had on the development of modern European music. Musicians from different periods, such as Franz Liszt (1811–1886), Carl Tausig (1841–1871), Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni (1866–1924) and Leopold Godowsky (1870–1938) also worked on revivals and adaptations of Bach's musical works from the Baroque period, especially his instrumental works (organ and violin), which were adapted by these musicians.
