- Abstract
In the wave of digitalization, the integration of technology and art has breathed new life into Chinese and Western dance films, spawning innovative developments. The application of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, computer-generated imagery and digital special effects, motion-capture technologies, etc., has significantly enhanced the visual charm and artistic appeal of dance films. China and the West each have their own characteristics in the application of digital technology. The West emphasizes experimental exploration and personal growth narratives, while China focuses on the integration of tradition and modernity and a collectivist narrative style. This paper aims to deeply analyze the similarities and differences between the two, thereby revealing the way forward for dance films in the context of the intertwining of technology and art.
