Abstract

Red culture represents the revolutionary gene since modern times and the spiritual cohesion of the Chinese nation’s rejuvenation. It embodies the Chinese revolutionary spirit, the socialist value system, and the shared human values within the global communist movement—all deeply integrated with traditional Chinese cultural characteristics. The Grand Canal is a “red river” that bears witness to the revolutionary history of the Communist Party of China and nurtures national spirit. This paper explores the current status, challenges, and pathways for transmitting red culture along the Grand Canal in the digital era. Finally, this paper proposes strategic approaches to overcome these difficulties, aiming to provide theoretical insights and practical references for the protection of Grand Canal culture.
