- Abstract
Stage performance is widely regarded as a valuable educational environment, offering young musicians opportunities to integrate technical ability, emotional regulation, and expressive communication in real time. In contemporary music education, authentic performance experiences are increasingly recognized for cultivating core competencies that contribute to students’ long-term development. This study investigates how structured participation in youth music competitions supports the growth of confidence and emotional resilience among young violin learners. A teacher-guided longitudinal observation was conducted throughout weekly lessons, simulated performances, and formal competition settings. Behavioral evidence from three representative student cases demonstrates progressive improvement in stage initiative, recovery after mistakes, and motivation to communicate musically under pressure.
