- Abstract
This paper constructs a competency model for undergraduate faculty members’ capacity to integrate ideological and political education into their courses based on competency theory. It proposes a comprehensive evaluation framework comprising four dimensions: ideological awareness and value alignment, teaching integration and implementation skills, value guidance and educational capabilities, and reflective innovation and continuous growth. Addressing systemic deficiencies in current faculty development for ideological and political education integration, the study designs a four-phase enhancement pathway. This approach achieves sustained growth in faculty ideological and political education capabilities through multidimensional competency diagnostics, categorized training mechanisms, and dynamic improvement loops.
