The 2025 International Conference on Educational Technology and Management Information Systems (ETMIS 2025) was held in Guangzhou, China, from December 26 to 28, 2025. Against the backdrop of rapid digital transformation in education, the conference served as a forum for examining how educational technologies and management information systems are reshaping teaching practices, learning environments, and institutional decision-making. The papers collected in this volume reflect both conceptual exploration and practical experience in the evolving landscape of technology-enhanced education.

Rather than focusing on a single technological paradigm, the contributions presented in this proceedings volume illustrate the diversity of contemporary educational technology research. Topics span e-learning and mobile learning environments, blended instructional models, learning management systems, and web-based classrooms and laboratories. Several studies explore immersive and interactive approaches, including augmented reality, virtual and collaborative learning environments, gamification, and video-based learning. Others address the role of cloud computing, social media, educational software, and Web-based platforms in supporting collaboration, identity management, and large-scale educational administration. Together, these works highlight the interplay between pedagogical design, technological infrastructure, and management information systems in modern education.

The academic orientation of the proceedings is further informed by the keynote speeches and oral presentations delivered during ETMIS 2025. Professors Mingfei Guo, Chunhui Tan, and Weidong Fu from Central China Normal University, Professor Xuelin Yu from Wuhan Textile University, and Professor Jie Yang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University offered perspectives on educational innovation, digital learning environments, and the application of information systems in educational practice and governance. Alongside the contributed oral presentations, these keynote talks provided critical reflections and contextual depth that complement the research reported in this volume.

ETMIS 2025 brought together more than 100 participants from higher education institutions and research organizations. A total of 139 manuscripts were submitted, and 57 papers were selected for publication following a peer-review process that emphasized relevance, originality, and academic rigor. The resulting collection represents a cross-section of current research efforts and practical inquiries in educational technology and management information systems.

The organizing committee sincerely thank all authors for their contributions, as well as the reviewers and committee members for their time and expertise. It is hoped that the studies presented here will encourage continued reflection, experimentation, and collaboration in the development and application of educational technologies and management information systems.
