Abstract

This research examined the strengthening of character education to enhance business ethics among students. This is crucial because business ethics should be instilled and cultivated through character education. The low level of business ethics among students is why this study is conducted. Ethics refers to principles, values, or morals that guide an individual’s behavior. Every student is expected to develop strong ethics, character, and morals in academic pursuits and non-academic aspects. Specifically, business ethics play a significant role, as moral values guide every action taken. Through the reinforcement of character education, business ethics can be understood by applying values found in Pancasila, such as religiosity, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, curiosity, national spirit, love for the homeland, appreciation for achievement and communication, peace-loving attitude, concern for the environment, social responsibility, and accountability. The research methodology employed in this study was descriptive with a quantitative approach. The instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to sixth-semester students, with a total population of 43 individuals. The selected sample consisted of 20 students actively engaged in business activities and enrolled in entrepreneurship courses. The findings of this study indicate that strengthening character education through entrepreneurship courses can enhance business ethics among students.
