Social Support in the Implementation of GERMAS in Students at High College in Jayapura City

Abstract

This research aims to determine the support for implementing the healthy living community movement by the academic community at universities in the city of Jayapura. Research is the precede-proceed framework, where this theoretical framework identifies, analyzes and evaluates a program. Support from the higher education academic community for the GERMAS program can make concrete steps in the program. This study employs quantitative. Research conducted at 12 PTN/S in the city of Jayapura. The research period is August-September 2024 with 115 respondents. Using total population techniques. Questionnaire was distributed to 10 PT N/S who were willing to be interviewed. The data was processed univariately to see the social support variable in the implementation of GERMAS. The research results show that there is social support for GERMAS among students at universities in Jayapura City, namely 100%. However, there are still 59% of universities that do not budget regular funds for the GERMAS program. Research is that students in higher education can implement the healthy living community movement and reduce non-communicable diseases in the early adult group and get a healthy and high-quality generation now and in the future. Impact on increasing indicators of the healthy living community movement implemented in universities in the city of Jayapura.
