Abstract

The level of information literacy among teachers affects the quality of information technology in higher education in China, and is related to the improvement of the professional level of teachers in Chinese universities and the cultivation of national information technology and innovative technical talents. In recent years, the government has put forward a series of policy requirements for universities, requiring the strengthening of information system construction and the development of information technology teaching. It has also put forward more targeted tasks for cultivating the information literacy of university teachers, with a focus on improving the overall information literacy level of the teaching staff. This article combines the theories of teacher professional development and information literacy to investigate the information literacy of teachers in private undergraduate colleges in Guangdong Province through a questionnaire survey; Based on in-depth analysis of the survey questionnaire data, the study found some problems in the information literacy of university teachers in Guangdong Province, and proposed targeted strategies for improving the information literacy of university teachers from three levels: government, schools, and teachers.
