- Abstract
Cross-border e-commerce is booming, yet it faces a shortage of skilled professionals in operations, logistics, and marketing. This study investigates how academic competitions and “Shuangchuang” (mass entrepreneurship and innovation) activities can work together to train such talents. We surveyed 500 students from 10 Chinese universities, conducted case studies, and interviewed educators and industry mentors. Results show that students in competitions develop stronger practical skills, innovative thinking, and teamwork. “Shuangchuang” activities further boost their entrepreneurial drive. We propose a model linking these two approaches and suggest collaboration between universities, businesses, and government to refine it. Future studies could test this model globally.
