- Abstract
Tempe is a traditional Indonesian dish made from fermented soybeans. Pliken Village in Banyumas Regency is renowned for its tempe production, with the Tempe Craftsmen Group “Sari Mulya” being one of its home industries. These craftsmen operate on a small scale, facing challenges such as limited management skills, insufficient capital, rising raw material costs, and an inability to produce large quantities quickly. To promote sustainable development in the Tempe industry, this study aims to analyze internal and external factors, and identify effective development strategies to help them compete for market share. The study used IFE & EFE Matrix, SWOT and QSPM Matrix methods. The results highlight that the “Sari Mulya” tempe industry falls into cell I, indicating strong opportunities and strengths. Thus, an aggressive growth-oriented strategy is appropriate. The priority strategy is to expand the market by leveraging expertise and knowledge in tempe production and improving product quality to meet high market demand.
