Abstract

This study aims to analyze the e-Government adoption process through a case study of the Baruga Village website in Malili District, East Luwu Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and document review. The data was analyzed by steps of collection, reduction, presentation, and verification to describe the process of e-Government adoption and the effectiveness of the Baruga Village website. This study uses the theory of V. Kumar et al. (2007) regarding user characteristics, website design, and service quality to analyze the adoption of e-Government. The results of the study show that the adoption of e-government in Desa Baru still needs improvement, such as in website design. However, the Baruga Village website has succeeded in providing convenience and satisfaction for its users, with several areas that need further improvement in the design and responsiveness of the service. The implementation of e-Government through this website shows the potential to improve the quality of public services at the village level. This shows that the Baruga Village government still needs to make improvements, especially in website design. So that the implementation of e-government in Baruga Village can run well.
